Synopsis

Pepe, played by Marcos Antonio Miranda (Blazin’, Once Upon A Ride), and Rico, played by Yancey Arias (Broadway’s Miss Saigon), are Latino cousins who embark on a path which will tease them with success, but bring them back down to a vicious reality. They love each other dearly, but are constantly in conflict stemming from their different views on life, money and the meaning of success. Pepe struggles to get out of his unpredictable and unfulfilling lifestyle, by upscaling his position from gypsy-cab driver to that of an upstanding Town Car chauffeur. He gets into the business of delivering “special packages” for a local gangster in order to make fast cash. Rico is a young aspiring actor struggling in an industry closed to Latinos, and finds it hard to define his identity. When he falls for Marisol, played by Lisa Vidal (Lifetime’s The Division, Third Watch, I Like It Like That), she becomes the source of much-needed emotional support. As Rico and Marisol’s relationship intensifies, he discovers more about her than he is prepared to deal with.
Throughout the film, we are introduced to many colorful characters that are an integral part of Rico and Pepe’s everyday lives. Pepe’s work as a cab driver explores the interactions that take place between strangers who are, for a short while, each other’s sole companions. As Pepe and Rico get closer to their goals, their worlds fall apart and Rico is forced to choose between his commitment to his only family, Pepe, and his love of a woman.

This is one of those indie films that really reminds you of the hard streets and what it takes sometimes to survive...
